I would like our readers to suggest some of your favorite camping treats. Drew and I love to go camping and I have a few good camping recipes but I'd like to hear some of yours. What do you find easy or especially tasty in the wild outdoors?
Banana boats are fun. You can Google a recipe. Here's one: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Banana-Boats/Detail.aspx S'mores are also good, but I get kind of sick of trying to figure out how to melt my chocolate. So, use the Keebler (or other brand) chocolate-stripped shortbread cookies in place of the graham crackers and chocolate bars--it's easy and yummy! You can also an easy dutch over cobbler. Layer the following in the dutch oven: 1 large can fruit(peaches, cherries, apples, whatever), 1 cake mix (yellow usually, unless you want a black forest cobbler), 1 can soda (like sprite), top with small slices of butter, almonds and oatmeal. YUM!
